2. Description of Service

Venting.io provides an anonymous chat platform where users can have supportive conversations with an AI-powered listener. The Service is designed for emotional support and is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using Venting.io, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Subscription and Payments

  • Subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Share illegal content or engage in illegal activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization

7. AI Listener Limitations

Important: The AI listener is not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional. The Service:

  • Does NOT provide medical, psychological, or professional advice
  • Is NOT a substitute for professional mental health treatment
  • Should NOT be used in crisis or emergency situations
  • May not always provide accurate or appropriate responses

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.

8. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Venting.io, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Venting.io and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Conduct that we believe is harmful to other users or the Service
  • Request by law enforcement or government agencies

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Venting.io SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Venting.io and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
